Build
Partnership
The healthiest home is the one built right the first time.
Construction advising for healthy, moisture-smart homes — we guide you and your builder from before the slab through the final walkthrough.
What it is
Most moisture problems don’t begin as disasters.
The ones we find during remediation began as small things done in the wrong order, or missed entirely, during construction — and then compounded quietly for years behind the walls. Build Partnership is how you get ahead of all of that.
We work alongside you and your builder as an extra set of eyes on the details that quietly decide whether a home stays well — how it manages moisture, how it handles air quality, and how its envelope is layered. We’re not your contractor, and we don’t replace them. We’re the conscience on the project for the things that tend to surface years later — caught while they’re still easy and inexpensive to fix.
What we watch
Three things quietly decide whether a home stays well:
Moisture
Where water could get in, and where it could collect — the conditions that feed mold long before anyone sees it.
Air quality
How air moves through the home, so it ventilates and dries the way a healthy home needs to.
The envelope
How materials are sequenced and overlapped so water sheds away and walls can dry — instead of trapping the moisture that feeds mold.
Who it’s for
Build Partnership is for anyone building a new home, reconstructing after remediation, or converting a space into something new — who wants it done right from the start rather than corrected later. It’s the natural next step after a home has been cleared and it’s time to rebuild: having come this far, you don’t want the new work to recreate the old problem.
It’s also for the family simply building with their health in mind from day one — who’d rather prevent than remediate, and who’d rather build it right than fix it later.
What to expect
Before the slab
Where water could get in, set right before anything is poured over it.
As it frames & dries
How the structure sheds water and dries, before the walls are closed.
As it's sealed
How air moves through it, and where a small shortcut invites trouble later.
Final stages
A last, plain account of what we're seeing — in time to act while it's still simple.
Our role is advisory, and we’re clear about that. We guide; your builder builds.
But that guidance, given at the right moments, is often the difference between a home that stays well and one that quietly doesn’t.
The honest limits
We’ll always be clear about what our role is and isn’t. We’re advisors, not the contractor of record — we don’t perform the construction, and we don’t oversee the parts of the build outside the scope we’re there for. We also can’t guarantee outcomes we don’t control: a builder who doesn’t act on our guidance, or work done outside our visits, is beyond what we can answer for. What we can offer is an honest, experienced eye on the details most likely to matter — at the moments when catching them still costs little.
The least expensive mold problem is the one caught before it starts. This is how you build for that from the very first decision.
